The DVSA have requirements for 6-weekly brake testers and ATF MOT testing  stating a laden roller brake test should be carried out. To minimise the downtime and impact this has on ATF Stations, operators  and vehicle repair workshops, the Vamag RBT/MSC can rise an axle under 20 seconds and lower under 15 seconds. Meaning a triaxle vehicle laden testing takes an additional 105 seconds to produce a laden roller brake test rather than loading the vehicle.

The roller brake tester is fitted with 4 hydraulic cylinders per side to allow an even vertical lifting of the axle, ensuring no damage to the vehicle. The lifting device is fitted with an audible alarm and specialist nylon runners to maximise the lifecycle of the product. Vamag RBT brake use the latest technology available, ensuring the latest DVSA software is incorporated into every brake tester – inclusive of the latest 2025 ATF requirements. When entering the DTP number, the brake tester software automatically calculates the 65% DAW to tell the operator at which point they have reached 65% and to continue the test when rising the axle.
