The Vamag Simulator Load Brake is a chassis loading brake tester with lifting roller beds. When the lifting beds raise the straps / chains secured to the rails in the ground via the moveable skate and apply load to the truck/trailer / bus or coach being tested. Using the DTP number of theat specific vehicle the brake tester as standard will apply a 65% load on the axle being tested.
The roller beds are lifted on 4 hydraulic cylinders and controlled by software that has built-in safety features, protecting the vehicle and operator during the brake test. It can lift up to 20,000kg axle load.
The skate and strope / chain move with the vehicle so only one connection to the vehicle’s chassisis is need, the skate will move with the vehicle during the test.
The Vamag RBT/MSC was the first LoadSim (Lift Bed) roller brake tester to be approved by the DVSA for use in ATF Test centres.
