• Triple layer of safety features – Safety Lowering Valves, anti-burst valves & ram lock-off handles. (Security Struts can also be added as an optional extra to provide additional layer of security to the user).

* The beam moves on four Spring loaded wheels, these retract when the jack is under load so locking its position. Needle roller bearings to ensure ease of movement  

* Parallel wheels are fitted as standard to suit flat angle pit edges with tapered wheels as an alternative for use on RSJ supporting rails. these retract when the jack is under load so locking its position.

* Power Pack has a high output air pump.

* Control is by a single air valve. Up for advance and power lift and down for retract. * Two double acting hydraulic cylinders have a 400 mm stroke.

* Each cylinder is fitted with safety hose burst valve  

* All jacks designed and manufactured in accordance with Machinery Directive 98/37/EC and engineering standard: BS EN 1494:2001 (Materials handling equipment)

* Complies with EC requirements and LOLER lifting regulations.

* Each unit is fully tested, marked with serial number and supplied with a test certificate

Once the desired lifting height is reached the pins are placed through the lowest hole and will stop the rams being lowered. Benefits of our Security Strut mechanism compared to the ‘Screw Lock’ alternative are; • Quicker to insert and remove pins. • Keeping the ram unit sealed ensures no water (causing rust) or debris can enter the sealed unit, and therefore the ram doesn’t need to be re-sealed regularly meaning less downtime and lower maintenance costs. • No threads on the rams so no chance of them becoming blocked with muck & rendering the safety mechanism defunct & thus unused by the user.

Having a 13 Tonne Spreader Beam (Fixed or Telescopic) is a legal requirement for VOSA ATF / MOT dedicated test lanes.

Spreader Beams are designed to accommodate vehicles with independent front suspensions – particularly buses and coaches. This Spreader Beam also enables you to reach jacking points beyond the width of your pit.
